George manages the Virginia GED Helpline and the e-learning helpline (877-37-MY-GED). This is a toll-free helpline that prospective GED test takers, providers of GED instruction, or any Virginia resident may call with questions about GED testing, GED preparation, and alternative educational options. The e-learning helpline provides information about online preparation and practice for the GED test.

George also coordinates and supports the distance learning components of PBS LiteracyLink's Workplace Essential Skills (WES) and GED Connection systems and manages the online component of these systems. He is also a PBS-certified lead trainer for WES and GED Connection, and he manages the state trainer certification process for WES and GED Connection.

George has worked in adult education for over fifteen years. He has a BA in English and philosophy from Emory and Henry College and an MA in humanities from Florida State University. He lives in Richmond with some Mexican hairless dogs.
