  • Grantseeking in Minnesota: This comprehensive site includes grantseeking basics and resources, how to write a successful proposal, and glossary.
  • Nonprofit Guides Grant Writing Tools for Non-profit Organizations: Nonprofit guides are free web-based grant-writing resources for nonprofit organizations, charitable, educational, public organizations, and other community-minded groups.

  • Federal Funding Sources: This list of federal funding sources on the Cognitive Concepts website provides detailed descriptions of federally funded education programs.
  • The Council on Foundations: The Council's site provides a wealth of information on foundations, including helpful advise on seeking funding.
  • The Foundation Center: The Foundation Center's site includes news, information on the various libraries and affiliates, and a useful publication list.
  • Internet Nonprofit Center: A project of the Evergreen State Society in Seattle, Washington, this site has long been a helpful launch pad for nonprofits seeking information. The Nonprofit FAQ is a good primer on the nonprofit sector.
  • Federal Register: This searchable archive of the Federal Register allows nonprofits to sift through Uncle Sam's sources.
  • Commerce Business Daily: The official free, online listing of the federal government's contracting and procurement opportunities.
  • The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education: The primary organization for college and university fundraisers, the CASE site includes news, links, and important professional development information.
  • Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement: The primary organization for prospect researchers offers a page with links to various databases and professional information.
  • Association of Fundraising Professionals: AFP is the largest professional organization serving fundraisers at nonprofit organizations. The organization's website includes news and publications of interest to most nonprofit executives.
