Race to GED

Race to GED is a state-approved educational program designed for individuals between 18 and 64 years of age, who are employed or able to be employed, and can demonstrate academic readiness to prepare for and pass the English version of the GED tests.

• Program Manager's Meeting
  The annual program managers meeting on August 18th and 19th marked the official beginning of the Race to GED.
• Race to GED in the Times-Dispatch
  Richmond Times-Dispatch staff writer, David Ress, wrote an excellent article about the "Race to GED" and Henrico County's efforts in the initiative.
• Race to GED: ARCA/REMAX 200 live
  On Saturday, June 26, the #04 RACE to GED Pontiac was seen live and nationwide in the ARCA/REMAX 200 from South Boston Speedway.

Race to GED Logo

There are several versions of the logo available for different uses. The small versions are meant to be used on the Web, the medium versions are for inclusion in Word documents, and the large versions are for large print projects. There are two versions at each size, one with and one without the toll-free statewide GED help-line phone number.

Marketing Materials

	Student Brochure Each brochure is tailored to a specific audience. The student brochure will help with the recruitment of potential students. It covers the reasons for getting a GED as well as the process involved. (Adobe Acrobat PDF, 1.7MB)
	State Agencies Brochure This is designed to encourage partnership with local agencies, such as VEC, DRS, and DSS. (Adobe Acrobat PDF, 868KB)
	Employers Brochure The employer brochure is designed to educate employers about the benefits of supporting employees in their pursuit of the GED. (Adobe Acrobat PDF, 1.2MB)
	Flyer These can be used as posters in public places (e.g. storefront windows, bulletin boards, local offices), newspaper inserts, handouts at events, and more. Be creative. (Adobe Acrobat PDF, 964KB)
	Table Tent This three-sided upright display can be placed on tables at events, in local offices, company cafeterias, and break rooms. Eye-catching graphics and a simple message encourage readers to call the GED helpline for more information. (Adobe Acrobat PDF, 46.6MB)
	Coloring Book The coloring book can be handed out to parents and children at public events along with the Race to GED crayons. The toll-free helpline number is printed on every page.
