New vocabulary on this web page:

meal plan (eating plan):  when you decide what you will eat for your future meals so that you get all the nutrition you need and nothing that will hurt you

convert (verb): to change something into something else

injection: a shot or needle

endocrinologist:  a doctor who checks on hormones like insulin in your blood

dietitian:  someone who helps you learn to eat more nutritious food to help with your illness

chronic disease:  an illness that won’t go away; you have it for the rest of your life

ophthalmologist:  a doctor who checks your eyes for diseases

monitor (verb):  to watch carefully
