ACCEPTANCE
LETTER

Field
Dear
Field,
The Admissions Committee is pleased to inform you that you have been
accepted into the SAIL Program. You will begin class promptly at 9:00 a.m. on
May 7, 2001. Classes will be held at the Virginia Employment Commission, 13370
Minnieville Road, Woodbridge, VA.
We hope you are as excited about your future as we are. Your final
acceptance into the program is contingent on the following:
1.
Receipt
of an Acceptance Letter. Please bring this letter to class with you on the first
day.
2.
Receipt
of a signed Acceptance Form. This will be your contract mentioned in the
Information Session.
You
will need to bring some supplies, such as pencils and paper to class on a daily
basis. You will need a three-ring binder with four tabs for sections. We will
provide you with a textbook and other materials. If you already have a GED
textbook, you may use your own. Any other materials you think are relevant to
this course, you may bring them and speak to your instructor about them.
Because
this program meets in a work environment and is similar to accepting a new job,
certain criteria must be met. You may bring your lunch to eat outside the
building, but food is not allowed in the building. The dress code is comfortable
attire but workplace appropriate. You will be asked to “Dress for Success”
on a routine basis. Cell phones and pagers must be turned off. Messages can be
left at the Virginia Employment Commission only in cases of emergency or to
report your absence or impending lateness to class.
If
you have questions, feel free to contact me at (703) 791-7358. Congratulations!
We look forward to our time together and hope that it will be worth your
commitment to the program.
Sincerely,
Debby
Cargill
