Practitioner Research as Staff Development: A Facilitator's Guide

Practitioner Research as Staff Development: A Facilitator's Guide was created for localities and programs interested in using inquiry groups and research methods in their program improvement efforts. In practitioner research staff development, participants systematically conduct inquiry about their work and their students' learning, reflect on their findings, and make informed decisions about implementing changes in their practice and improving their program.

This guide provides the basic materials and information to implement practitioner research as staff development in your program or region. The process is organized into four meetings, each focused on a primary stage of the research process:

Coming Up With A Research Question
Collecting Research Data
Analyzing Research Data
Making Our Research Knowledge Public
