The focus of Meeting One is on the process to identify suitable research questions. The agenda is designed for participants to meet the following objectives:

  • Learn about the four main components of the research process.
  • Establish a professional learning community.
  • Learn about the guiding principles and purposes in practitioner research.
  • Gain a more thorough understanding of the issues to research.
  • Identify a research question that is relevant and researchable.
For each session, you will find the following materials:
  • An agenda of activities with guidelines for the facilitator
  • An outline of the group process with the participant handouts
  • Information about homework requirements and research meetings preparations
  • Work samples from practitioner research networks
  • Research references and resources
