C4-1: Asking Good Questions: The Heart of Inquiry, Diane Foucar-Szocki
Learning is about asking and answering questions. We can challenge and inspire our learners with the questions we ask and the environments we establish for them to seek answers to questions posed. Participants will explore at least three types of questions: analytic, creative and practical and practice when, why and how to ask them in the classroom.
C4-2: Don't Throw it Out! Incorporating the Inquiry Process into Your Favorite Curriculum, Susan Holt
You are a facilitative teacher, and the Inquiry Process with a problem-based approach is compelling. But you are already invested in a curriculum that works for you. This workshop looks at how GED Connection, Workplace Essential Skills and other pre-determined curricula can be adapted and integrated with the Inquiry Process in a problem-based way, to provide the "best of both worlds."

C4-5: GED Accommodations for Instruction and for Testing, Bob MacGillivray
This session will provide participants with information on legal aspects of accommodating adults, using accommodations in the classroom, and GED Testing Service's documentation requirements.
C4-6: The Inquiry Process in the ABE Classroom: Facilitation Model, Fairfax Co. Schools
Over the past year, Fairfax County Public Schools' ABE-level teachers have begun using the GED as Project model of facilitation. C4-7: Teaching Adults to Read with Understanding; EFF-Norfolk Reading Project, Cheryl Williams & Fabra Eley
Presenters will incorporate evidence based reading strategies with Equipped for the Future Framework to offer tips and strategies to enhance the reading skills of adult learners.
